SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 1 : Hanoi – Ha Giang

07:30 am: The local guide pick you up at your hotel and depart to Ha Giang. It take around 7 hours by car. On the way, you will enjoy fantastic mountains of Vietnam. And the car will stop over for taking photos and visiting the minority village along the way. Arrive in Ha Giang, trekking to visit Tay and Nung village where you will exploring the daily life and chatting with local people in mountainous. You will enjoy the picturesque valley. Overnight in Ha Giang .

Day 2 : Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Lung Cu – Dong Van

After having breakfast at your hotel, leave Ha Giang to Dong Van. On the way driver via Quan Ba for visiting the Bo Y minority village. Having lunch in Yen Minh town and take rest for an hour. Then, continue the trip to Sa Phin village where you will visit the Palace of H’Mong King “ Vuong Chi Sinh” which is a symbol of the past glory of the H’mong people built in 1914. Keep driving to Lung Cu Flag Tower and walking through the Pho Bang town called by tourists “the town falling into the oblivion” inhabited by the Hoa and H’Mong people. The local people keep to their quiet lifestyle in the clay houses decorated with a pair of couplets written in Chinese scripts with wishes of good luck and prosperity. Arrive in Dong Van, check in hotel. Free time.

Day 3 : Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Ba Be Lake

Breakfast at your hotel, if the day fall on Sunday you will have a chance to visit Dong Van ethnic market where the minority people do their business. You will see all kinds of goods and multi – colored clothes can be purchased. After visiting market, you will depart to Dong Van. You will pass a scenic route will take you to the Ma Phi Leng Pass (is one of the four most beautiful passes of Vietnam) from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Nho Que River. You might see one of the northeast’s stunning sunsets. Stop for a while to see a river like a silky fillet looming in fog which brings tourists a pleasant sensation of a naturally romantic masterpiece. Continue drive via Meo Vac, is located along the Chinese border, some of the most picturesque villages in the northern tip of Vietnam. Arrive in Ba Be, check in and free time for relaxing.

Day 4 : Boat trip in Ba Be Lake

Wake up early to enjoy the fresh atmosphere with very green forest, river, lake, rice fields… After breakfast, you will take the boat trip to the Ba Be Lake to visit the Dau Dang waterfall. Have the picnic lunch here with a local family. Then continue the boating trip along the Nang river to get to “Dong Puong” cave. Visit the villages & school of the Tay ethnic people located along the river. At the end of day, transfer you back to Pac Ngoi hamlet for relax and dinner.

Day 5 : Ba Be - Hanoi

Having breakfast, spend time for relaxing or chating with local before or see colourful morning local market. Then head south towards Hanoi. On the way, stop over in Thai Nguyen province for visting Vietnam Museum of Ethnology and see exhibits and artefacts from the region. Arrive in Hanoi, drop you off at your hotel. Northeast Vietnam in the North of the Red River Delta includes 9 provinces. Those provinces are Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh where are filled up with lime-stone mountains, masssifs, waterfalls, terraced fields & streams. The Northeast mountain area is also home of dozens of ethnic groups who still make living by traditional means like cultivating at terraced rice/corn fields, keeping cattle and poultry and fishing. Those ethnic minority tribes include Tay, Nung, Zao, H’Mong and the San Chi. In many areas in the remote areas of Ha Giang Province, there are numerous of hill tribes with population from several thousand people to only a few hundred members.
