Nha Trang bounded on the north by Ninh Hoà district, on the west by Diên Khánh District. And on the south by Cam Ranh town. It takes 1.5 hours to fly to Nha Trang from Hanoi, and a mere 35 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City.

Nha Trang is tropical climate which means it is general hot and humid all year round with little rain and warm sunshine. Nha Trang’s weather is divided into two distinct seasons: the dry season (from January to August) and the wet season (from October to December). The rainy season is sort from September to December. How to get to Nha Trang?
There are three main types of transport to travel to Nha Trang, which are by air, by train, and by road. You can choose any way, depending on your travel time and financial ability.

*** 1. Travel by plane
Plane is the most popular means chosen by many travelers when they want to travel from Hanoi/ Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang. Travelling by plane, you will waste a little time for transfer.
If you take a flight from Ho Chi Minh City, you will take off at Tan Son Nhat airport and if you take a flight from Hanoi, you will take off at Noi Bai airport and you will land at Cam Ranh airport in Nha Trang.
From Cam Ranh airport to Nha Trang is 35km away. It takes around 20 – 30 minutes/ 1 way

Nha Trang is 1442 kilometers from Hanoi to Nha Trang by train. It takes about 25,5 to 27,5 hours, they daily depart.
If you travelling by train from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang (411 kilometers) is an exciting experience. The train departs from Saigon Station (District 3) to Nha Trang Station (No. 17, Thai Nguyen Street). It takes about 7,5 to 8 hours/ 1 way. The price depend on the seat class you choose.

An other way to Nha Trang from Ho Chi Minh City, take a bus. It is convenient thanks to affordable prices, seat availability, and the safety of visitors it provides. There are many options for you choose from: Limousine bus or sleeper buses. It is easy to book a seat at last minutes. It take about 8 hours / 1 way. It is recommended that you get a U-shaped pillow to support your neck during your bus journeys.

1. Institute of Oceanography
Institute of Oceanography is located at 1 Cau Da St., about 5km from Nha Trang City Center, at the foot of the outcrop where Bao Dai Village is constructed ina grand French-colonial building. Opened to the public on September 14th, 1922, today it is still a popular destination for both domestic and foreign tourists.
Visiting Oceanographic Museum, you can see a more extensive collection of living beings from the Eastern Sea like in this museum, particularly in areas like the bays of Thailand, archipelagoes of Paracels (Hoàng Sa) and Spratlys (Truong Sa), shore regions of Vietnam and the gulf of the Vat Bô.
2. Po Nagar Cham Towers
Cham is an ancient civilization that was really influential in Southeast Asia, especially in Vietnam and Cambodia. The Cham ruled Vietnam for 10 centuries, their unmistakable architecture and art style had spread widely across places in the country. They are said to have their root in the India’s Buddhism. Thus, there are a great deal of similarity between Angkor Wat and the Po Nagar Towers found in Nha Trang. This complicated site belonged to the medieval principality of Khauthara, a small country near modern Nha Trang. The Po Nagar Towers are now situated on a mountain called Cu Lao, in downtown Nha Trang and next to Cai River.
Nowadays have only a few differences (except for the Golden Dome which has been robbed by pirates). The four Po Nagar Towers today are truly beautiful and charming. Each of them was built to dedicate to a unique deity.
3. Long Son Pagoda
Long Son Pagoda is a Buddhist temple in the city of Nha Trang; it is one of the two most important religious venues of the city (the other one is Hai Duc Temple).
Long Son Pagoda is called Dang Long Tu (Dang Long Pagoda). It was erected in 1886 in another place under the supervision of the abbot named Thich Ngo Chi (1856-1935) who came from Vinh Xuong, Khanh Hoa. In 1900, after a devastating cyclone, the temple was terribly damaged and had to be moved to the nowadays location. In 1936, Long Son Pagoda was renamed and became the headquarters of the Buddhist Association in Khanh Hoa Province. It was renovated and expanded again in 1940 before being destroyed during Vietnam War in 1968. After that, attempts have been made to rebuild the construction, but the temple has not been fully restored until recently.
Long Son Pagoda nowadays is a complete and breathtaking complex of halls, buildings and gardens. It adjoins another pagoda named Hai Duc, where stands a large concrete statue of Gautama Buddha which has a height of 24 meters. This statue can be certainly seen from afar as one enters the city by either going on the National highway or taking the train.
4. Hon Chong Promontory (Chong Rock)
Hon Chong is located in the northeast of Nha Trang, in Vinh Phuoc ward, about 3km from the city center. Surrounding Hon Chong are other beautiful spots such as Hon Do, Hon Rua and Co Tien mountain.

5. Exploring Tri Nguyen Aquarium in Hon Mieu Island
Tri Nguyen Aquarium is located on Hon Mieu island. This huge fish tank has the appearance of an ancient fossil ship with a length of 60 meters and a height of 30 meters. Coming there by boat, you easily immerse yourself in a miniature ocean and see multitude of marine species.
